The Champ de Mars is a large public greenspace in Paris, France, located in the seventh arrondissement, between the Eiffel Tower to the northwest and the École Militaire to the southeast. The Faing Grass is a granitic summit of the Vosges Mountains, located on the ridge between the Bonhomme pass and the Schlucht pass . This almost planar summit with rounded edges which ranks among the ten highest of the massif, presents a rather abrupt side on the Alsatian side, giving birth to a glacial trough which shelters the Black Lake 350 meters below.
